Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) Patchouli oil is extensively used in skin care products due to its propensity for healing the skin. It is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiseptic and an astringent (it tightens pores). It is widely used to treat acne, dermatitis, eczema, and for its anti-aging benefits. In addition, it is commonly used for anxiety, sleep problems, and as an aphrodisiac.

Aromatic Description: Rich, earthy, woody, slightly fruity

Skin Benefits: Chapped skin, treats dermatitis, fight against acne, skin infections and eczema; tightens pores

Common Uses:  Fatigue, athlete’s foot, insect repellant, aphrodisiac, skincare

Energetics: Grounding, used in meditation

Blends Well With: Myrrh, sandalwood, geranium, lavender, clary sage, cypress, lemon, cinnamon
