Niaouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia) Closely related to tea tree oil, it is as effective as an antibacterial and antiseptic, with less tendency to irritate skin. It is widely used by Australian aboriginals for its versatility. It is used extensively in the skincare and cosmetic industries, for its ability to stimulate and support healthy looking skin. It does not smell generally pleasant on its own; iit is typically blended with other oils.
